Welcome to the Hampstead NH Town Website

The picture postcard town of Hampstead is nestled in Rockingham County and boasts an elegant historic Main Street, characterized by antique Colonial homes and is home to an excellent school system. With 8,800 residents, the town is located 30 miles south of Concord, 45 miles north of Boston, Mass. and 20 miles from the Seacoast. Hampstead contains 13.4 square miles of land, approximately 8,350 acres, 400 of which are inland water areas of Big Island Pond, Sunset Lake, and Angle Pond. The lakes attract a significant seasonal population and summer youth camp to town.

The town is served by State Routes 111 and 121 and has easy access to Route 125 and Interstate 93. It is a short drive to the Manchester-Boston Regional airport, with convenient air travel to most any location in the US and Canada.
